historic house, gardens and tea room

Located between Northallerton and Richmond, Kiplin Hall & Gardens is an Historic House Museum with 90 acres of stunning grounds and gardens to explore,
and an award-winning Tea Room to relax and refuel in.
The Jacobean house, built in 1620, belonged to four fascinating families,
connected by blood or marriage for almost 400 years.
The ancestral home is packed with the furniture, portraits, paintings, objects
and personalia of the families who lived here, and also houses changing exhibitions.

Visitors can dine in the company of royalty in the Tea Rooms
where portraits line the wood paneled walls, and much of the food served
has been grown a stone's throw away in Kiplin's Walled Garden.
A small Garden Museum tells the history of the evolving gardens. There are activities for children in the Hall and gardens including various outdoor play areas.

16 miles from Thirsk Tourist Information.
